Gauchos Ready for Conference Clash

UCSB Men’s Lacrosse is coming off a tough loss last week to Sonoma State University during their spring break trip. The first quarter was dominated by the Gauchos, but Sonoma gained momentum and never looked back. The game ended with Sonoma winning 12 to 9.

The Gauchos look to bounce back today against a division opponent, University of Southern California. The Trojans are 4 and 7 on the season, but they have a lot of talent both on offense and defense. After a tough spring break loss, UCSB has been working tirelessly in practice to win the remaining regular season games.

Junior midfielder Eli Suhadolnik said, “Ground balls have been the highlight of our practices the last few weeks, and it is something we need to improve on along with our overall effort. If we can increase our groundball percentage there is no one who can stop us.”

The Gauchos are excited to get back out on the field tonight and get their groove back. They face off against USC tonight at 7:30pm at UCSB. It should be a fun one to watch, so be sure to stay tuned on all social media accounts.
